Founder & Clinical Director

Mary founded BSPS on a simple belief: every person deserves expert, compassionate care. A nationally recognized educator, she presents at ASHA conferences and trains clinicians across the country in myofunctional therapy, feeding intervention, and advanced speech techniques.

Focus: Orofacial myofunctional therapy, feeding intervention, complex pediatric cases, clinician education

Speech-Language Pathologist

Jennifer earned her degrees in Communication Disorders from the University of Central Missouri and built her clinical foundation in the public schools before joining private practice. She specializes in orofacial myofunctional disorders and is a Clinical Lactation Educator supporting families with infant feeding.

Jessica earned her MS in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Central Missouri. She evaluates and treats across orofacial myofunctional disorders, feeding therapy, and pediatric speech — addressing the underlying oral and motor factors that connect them.

Speech-Language Pathologist

Alyx earned her degrees in Communication Disorders from Missouri State University. She specializes in motor speech disorders — particularly childhood apraxia of speech — early language development for children three and under, and AAC strategies for children with autism.

Clare earned her degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Rockhurst University and joined BSPS after completing her externship here under the team's direct mentorship. She brings thoughtful, creative approaches to autism, apraxia, phonological disorders, AAC, and pediatric feeding, with PROMPT training for motor speech.

Kathleen's career spans public schools and Missouri First Steps early intervention, shaping a deeply interdisciplinary, family-centered approach. She is highly skilled with children on the autism spectrum, childhood apraxia, AAC, and articulation and language disorders, with PROMPT training and advanced OMD coursework.

Katie came to BSPS with deep expertise in dyslexia and literacy intervention, complementing her passion for early childhood speech and language. Her training spans tethered oral tissues, PROMPT for apraxia, OMD coursework, and pediatric feeding — letting her treat the overlapping challenges many children face.

Emily earned her degrees from the University of Central Missouri, with clinical experience spanning early childhood through adult care. She specializes in expressive and receptive language disorders and articulation therapy, with advanced coursework in OMDs, retained primitive reflexes, and AAC.

Emily holds her Master of Health Science from the University of Missouri and treats articulation and phonological disorders, childhood apraxia, and language delays. Her advanced training includes orofacial myology and gestalt language processing, supporting children who acquire language in chunks rather than single words.

Ciera's degree in Childhood Development from Central Methodist University informs every family interaction, from the very first phone call. She keeps scheduling, intake, and family-clinician communication running smoothly — with genuine warmth.
