Teletherapy

Ask whether teletherapy may fit your needs.

Teletherapy may be an option for some patients and services. BSPS must confirm clinical suitability, patient location, clinician licensure, technology needs, and current availability before scheduling virtual care.

For: Children and adults when clinically appropriate and permitted for their location

Telepractice is an established service delivery model for speech-language pathology and can be a strong fit for many clients. Fit matters: we consider attention, age, technology access, caregiver support, goals, safety, and whether hands-on assessment is needed.

Technology, session structure, and caregiver participation depend on the platform, clinician, service, and patient needs. The practice can explain current requirements before a visit.

Some services may be available online when clinically appropriate. Others may require in-person assessment or treatment. Contact the practice for current information.

Teletherapy is a great fit if…

  • Your schedule makes clinic visits difficult
  • You live far from our Lee's Summit or Overland Park offices
  • Your child is comfortable on video calls
  • You want to be more involved in sessions
  • You prefer private sessions from home
  • Transportation or mobility is a challenge

In-person may be better when hands-on oral motor work is needed or for very young children. We'll guide you to the right fit.
