Social Communication
Help your child navigate the social world with confidence.
Some children are bright, verbal, and knowledgeable — but struggle to make friends, read social cues, or hold back-and-forth conversations. Social communication involves “rules” many children pick up naturally, but others need to learn explicitly. We teach them.
For: Children of all ages
Social skills affect every area of life — friendships, school success, family relationships, and eventually careers. Children who struggle socially often experience isolation, teasing, anxiety, and lower self-esteem. The good news: social communication skills can be taught. With explicit instruction and practice, children learn what doesn't come naturally.
Our assessment evaluates pragmatic language skills, social understanding, and conversation abilities through observation and standardized measures.
Therapy targets your child's specific challenges — conversation skills, nonverbal communication, perspective-taking, social problem-solving, friendship skills, and self-regulation — then practices them in naturalistic situations so they transfer to real life.
